Ukrainian Forces Hit Russian Army Command Points in Donetsk Region
On July 3, Ukrainian military forces carried out a targeted strike against the command point of the Russian 8th General Army, marking the second attack on this facility within a week, reports 24brussels.
Additionally, Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted the command point of the Russian 20th Motorized Rifle Division in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, according to reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Current enemy losses are being assessed. The General Staff emphasized that a series of precision strikes significantly impairs the Russian military’s ability to plan and conduct operations in the region. They stated that any attempts to extend the occupation of Ukrainian territory “will meet with precise retribution and will come at a high cost to the aggressor.”
It was noted that the first strike on the command point of the 8th Army took place on June 30, with military officials stating that it severely complicated the Russian planning and operations near Pokrovsk and Toretsk.
The exact location of the latest strike has not been disclosed. However, prior to the previous attack, there were reports of damage to a Russian military site in occupied Donetsk. Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation, remarked that “it is very rich there.”
On the night of July 1, drones attacked Luhansk, and the following day explosions occurred, resulting in a fire at a significant Russian military site in occupied Khartsyzsk, according to the Security Service of Ukraine. It was reported that they targeted a munitions depot.
Furthermore, on July 3, a former “head” of the occupied town of Manolis Pilavov was reported killed in Luhansk.
