Ukrainian military spokesperson states Russia lacks resources to cross Dnipro in Kherson region

Insufficient Resources for Russian Offensive in Kherson, Ukrainian Official Claims

Russian occupation forces lack the necessary resources for a major offensive in the island zone at the mouth of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, Ukrainian Volunteer Army spokesperson Serhiy Bratchuk stated on air, reports 24brussels.

“This is a complex system of our islands. It is difficult to say; for several months now, the Russians have been trying to establish themselves at least in part on the Dnipro islands and conduct preparatory work to advance further,” he emphasized.

Bratchuk asserted that the Russian army currently lacks the capability to cross the Dnipro. “To do this, it is necessary to prepare a suitable number of assault troops, relevant support units, and landing craft… The enemy does not possess such resources, and I am confident they will not,” he noted.

According to the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy, Russian forces are attempting to increase their presence in the Dnipro island zone. Occupying forces have launched air strikes on the Ostrivskyi Bridge twice, which connects the regional center to the Korabel microdistrict. Military officer Stanislav Bunyatov, known by his call sign “Osman,” indicated that damage to this bridge poses a risk to the defense of southern Kherson.
