Amaal Mallik’s team responds to Kamya Punjabi’s criticism over confrontation with Abhishek Bajaj

Mumbai, October 15, 2025: Amaal Mallik’s team has countered criticism from TV actress Kamya Punjabi, following a confrontation with Abhishek Bajaj on the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 19’, reports 24brussels. The incident escalated into a social media dispute after Punjabi branded Mallik’s actions as “wrong” following a notable in-house altercation.

The disagreement erupted during a task when Mallik allegedly provoked Bajaj by aggressively offering him a pani puri and making a taunt that led to Bajaj’s reaction of shoving him, questioning, “Why did you touch my face?” This confrontation prompted fellow contestant Baseer Ali to intervene, criticizing Bajaj’s aggressive behavior.

In response to Punjabi’s comments shared on X, Mallik’s team pointedly remarked on her prior silence regarding Bajaj’s conduct in earlier episodes. They questioned her absence in defending Mallik during moments when he was unwell and Bajaj displayed what they described as violent tendencies. The online rebuttal included a tweet from Mallik, questioning, “Oh, have you just started watching the show?”

The ongoing season of ‘Bigg Boss’ has generated significant viewer engagement, with housemates dividing into factions. Recently, Zeishan Quadri, known for his role in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, was evicted in the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode. This year’s theme, “Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar”, features a diverse lineup including Gaurav Khanna, Kunika Sadanand, Ashnoor Kaur, and Tanya Mittal, all competing for the coveted Bigg Boss trophy.

The show’s host, Salman Khan, continues to steer the series, which streams on JioHotstar at 9 p.m. prior to its television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30 p.m.
