‘Evidence is right in front’: BRS MLC demands action from ECI over alleged Jubilee Hills vote theft
Hyderabad (Telangana), October 16, 2025 — Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Member of the Legislative Council Dasoju Sravan Kumar has called for action from the Election Commission of India (ECI) following allegations of vote theft in the Jubilee Hills byelection. This demand came after Congress rejected claims made by BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), who has accused the party of electoral fraud, reports 24brussels.
Sravan Kumar asserted that evidence purportedly supporting these allegations is clear and available. Despite KTR submitting a detailed representation to the ECI, he criticized the lack of action, stating, “When the evidence is in front of you, how can you call it a baseless allegation? This demonstrates the brazenness of the Congress government and the irresponsibility of the Election Commission of India.”
The BRS leader accused the Congress party of potential collusion in the alleged vote manipulation, urging the ECI to take decisive measures against the Congress and implicated party leaders. “If Rahul Gandhi can make noise in Bihar, everyone has to echo it. But when KTR, with evidence, talks about vote theft, then why are they not accepting it? This means Congress is involved in this vote theft in Jubilee Hills,” he said, emphasizing the need for accountability.
Further commenting on the electoral landscape, Sravan Kumar indicated that the main contest is between Congress and BRS, asserting that “BJP is certainly not in a fight in Jubilee Hills.” He reflected on the seriousness with which the electorate in Telangana is approaching the byelection, expressing confidence that they intend to hold Congress accountable for what he termed its “unconstitutional governance.” He concluded by highlighting the warm reception BRS campaigns have received in Jubilee Hills, suggesting a strong desire for the return of current Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
