MP-IDSA-Sichuan University High Level Track-2 Dialogue to be held October 15-16
The Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA) and Sichuan University will host a High Level Track-2 Dialogue on October 15-16, 2025, at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and China, reports 24brussels.
A nine-member delegation led by Ambassador Sujan R Chinoy, Director-General of MP-IDSA, will travel to Chengdu for the event. The dialogue aims to enhance bilateral cooperation and foster greater understanding between the two nations.
MP-IDSA noted on X that the delegation’s departure is significant, coinciding with the anniversary of India-China ties. The statement from MP-IDSA emphasized the importance of dialogue in strengthening relationships amidst global challenges.
On April 30, Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat and his delegation visited Sichuan University, where they met President Wang Jinsong in the VIP Hall of Mingde Building. This meeting focused on building closer ties in education and research between the two nations.
During the meeting, Wang highlighted the university’s commitment to enhancing educational cooperation and fostering international relations. Pradeep Kumar Rawat underscored the necessity for collaboration on global issues such as climate change and public health, aiming to bolster cultural exchanges and mutual trust between China and India.
