Malte Hohlfeld highlights India’s unity during Indo-German Young Leaders’ visit to Delhi

New Delhi, October 11, 2025 – During the Indo-German Young Leaders visit to Delhi, Malte Hohlfeld, Executive Chairman of the German nonprofit organization Global Bridges, underscored India’s unity amid its diversity, reports 24brussels. Hohlfeld expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to the delegation and praised the efforts of the Indo-German Young Leaders Forum for their organizational prowess.

Reflecting on his initial visit to India in 2023 with a German business delegation, Hohlfeld noted that it revealed India’s impressive forward momentum. “Our goal is to bring young voices from different fields together and really find common solutions to shared problems,” he stated, emphasizing the significance of fostering connections between future leaders.

The delegation’s cultural exchange included an introduction to Sikhism at the International Centre for Sikh Studies, where they experienced a holographic presentation and discussions about Sikh history and values. Aam Aadmi Party MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney remarked that the 50 delegates appreciated the insights gained during the visit, which aimed to enhance their understanding of Sikh contributions to modern society.

Additionally, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar sent greetings to Germany on the occasion of German National Unity Day, marking 25 years of strategic partnership between New Delhi and Berlin. Jaishankar highlighted the ongoing momentum in bilateral relations, stating, “Value the sustained momentum in our ties, as we complete 25 years of our Strategic Partnership.”
