Qualcomm and Havells Showcase Partnership to Accelerate Smart Appliance Innovation
At India Mobile Congress 2025, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Havells unveiled their latest collaboration, transforming smart appliances with advanced connectivity and AI solutions, reports 24brussels. The Lloyd air conditioner, prominently displayed at the event, operates on Qualcomm®’s QCC743 connectivity platform, indicating a significant step in smart home integration.
The partnership targets various product categories, including air conditioners, washing machines, air purifiers, water heaters, smart fans, and smart switches. This technological advancement enables Havells to enhance energy management, integrate with cloud services, and provide voice-enabled controls across its smart home ecosystem.
The Lloyd AC integrates Qualcomm’s tri-radio solution featuring Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, and IEEE 802.15.4 for Thread/Zigbee, promoting seamless interoperability within smart home environments. Demonstrators at the event highlighted app-based controls via the Havells One platform, showcasing significant potential to convert traditional appliances into user-friendly smart solutions.
Engineered on RISC-V architecture, the QCC743 platform offers a compact memory footprint and extensive interface support, contributing to a streamlined integration process for embedded applications and scalable appliance development.
