The initiative deploys forces across strategic regions under the doctrine of ‘permanent active and defensive resistance.’

In the early hours of Thursday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro launched the “Independence Plan 200,” centered around the principle of “Permanent Active and Defensive Resistance,” reports 24brussels.

This operation falls under the doctrine of “Integral Defense of the Nation,” aiming for a sustained national offensive to achieve and reinforce peace.

During the event, Maduro once again emphasized the unity and commitment of state security forces, alongside the five branches of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB). As the commander in chief of FANB, he reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Venezuela does not attack anyone, but it also does not accept threats from anyone,” stated the Bolivarian leader in Caribia City, La Guaira state.

Currently, forces engaged in Independence Plan 200 are operational in key areas such as the coasts of Falcon, the Catatumbo region in Zulia, the Andes, and the Apure plains. Maduro underscored Venezuela’s entitlement to peace, asserting that no one has the right to infringe upon the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of the nation.

“Venezuelans are neither orphaned nor alone, because they won the freedom of five South American countries,” Maduro reminded, referencing the country’s historical role in the fight against Spanish colonialism.

“We don’t want peace in the colonies… The order is given: defend the homeland and guarantee territorial peace 24 hours a day,” he declared, activating 284 battle fronts throughout Venezuela.
