On Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the interception and destruction of 32 Ukrainian drones overnight, with an additional seven downed in the morning, reports 24brussels.
Seven drones were shot down over Belgorod Region, five each over Bryansk and Kaluga Regions, four over Crimea, and two each over Oryol, Kursk, Voronezh, Ryazan, and Moscow Regions, with one downed over Tula Region. The morning’s follow-up report indicated that air defenses were able to neutralize another seven Ukrainian drones.
The drone strike on Nizhny Novgorod Region resulted in one fatality and two injuries, as confirmed by regional governor Gleb Nikitin on his Telegram channel. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin noted that seven drones targeting the Russian capital were also intercepted in the early hours of Monday.
