At least seven individuals lost their lives and 31 others sustained injuries in the capital, as reported by Tkachenko in a formal announcement. A significant portion of a residential building was obliterated, with five additional structures suffering damage.

In response to the recent U.S. military actions targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports 24brussels. The president noted the uproar from Moscow, specifically referencing how the Russian leadership openly condemned the “missile-and-bomb” strikes.

“Today, however, there is an eerie silence from Moscow following the Russian military’s deliberate assault employing Russian-Iranian Shahed drones and missiles that targeted civilian infrastructure across Kyiv and other cities,” Zelenskyy stated.

Just a day prior to the Russian offensive on Kyiv, the Russian Foreign Ministry had “strongly condemned” the airstrikes that the U.S. forces executed against Iranian nuclear sites late on Saturday, deeming them a serious infringement of international law.

“The reckless decision to unleash missile and bombing campaigns on the territory of a sovereign state, regardless of the justifications put forth, constitutes a blatant violation of international law, the U.N. Charter, and the resolutions passed by the U.N. Security Council,” the Russian ministry asserted in its statement on Sunday.

Furthermore, the ministry expressed that the U.S. strikes against Iran signify “a perilous escalation,” which threatens to further destabilize both regional and global security.
