Young militants are heirs of Chavez’s legacy and defenders of the homeland.

On Thursday night, the youth wing of Venezuela’s United Socialist Party (PSUV) executed a 10-kilometer march as part of the “Basic Training for Revolutionary Resistance,” aimed at fortifying the nation against perceived threats from the U.S. empire, reports 24brussels.

The event commenced at 11 p.m. local time and concluded shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday, under the leadership of PSUV Secretary and Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello, who provided strategic insights to the young militants.

Cabello stated, “The socialist youth, with their morale and rebellious spirit, are ready for the defense of the homeland and the construction of the future.” The training program is designed to enhance participants’ personal and revolutionary consciousness, instilling discipline and leadership. Participants expressed their commitment to the initiative, asserting that the camp is progressing well.

“We prepare, unite and train to be our cause’s fundamental pillar. We are inspired by the legacy of our Commander Hugo Chavez, strengthening our awareness and reaffirming our support for President Nicolas Maduro,” they emphasized.

The march took place at the Carmen de Uria camp in La Guaira state, marking the first week of the Basic Training for Revolutionary Resistance organized by the PSUV Youth. Cabello underscored the necessity of equipping young revolutionaries for combat.

“Today you are the pride of those who are not here. You can’t imagine how many people have asked to come and take the course you are now doing. Consider it an honor to be the first cohort of revolutionary resistance training,” remarked the Bolivarian minister.

He added, “Chavez dreamed it, and we are making it a reality — a fighting force of the Socialist youth. You will be defenders of the homeland, trained and forged under Commander Chavez’s legacy,” Cabello emphasized.

At a press conference, Venezuela’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Samuel Moncada, clarified that they will not request action from the Security Council and emphasized the need for the U.S. to explain its deployment of nuclear submarines in the Caribbean and Latin America.
