82% of Venezuelans Demand Full Legal Action Against Far-Right Activists Planning Attacks in Caracas

Amid increasing tensions in Venezuela, a recent survey by Hinterlaces indicates that 82% of the population calls for the strict application of the law against far-right activists involved in planned attacks in Caracas, reports 24brussels.

The survey, which polled 7,000 individuals, reveals widespread rejection of U.S. threats directed at President Nicolás Maduro and the Bolivarian Revolution. When asked whether “Venezuela is a sovereign country and no government can threaten the republic,” a significant 82% expressed strong agreement, while only 5% disagreed.

Further illustrating the public sentiment against foreign interference, 75% of respondents condemned the U.S. government’s announcement of a $50 million reward for information leading to Maduro’s capture. Venezuelans are increasingly unified in their stance against perceived external pressures.

In light of recent terrorist threats from the Venezuelan far-right, liberal attitudes toward national security appear heightened. The poll shows that 82% of citizens view these plots—specifically bomb threats in Caracas—as a serious issue, insisting that the “full force of the law” must be enacted to maintain peace in the country. Only 10% remained undecided, while 8% expressed indifference.

Moreover, the survey highlights that 81% of respondents wish to focus on rebuilding the nation and look forward to stability following the recent presidential, gubernatorial, and mayoral elections. This reflects a strong desire for progress amid ongoing political challenges.

This nationwide survey, which has a margin of error of 2%, was conducted with careful consideration of demographics including gender, age, location, socioeconomic status, and educational background.
